(or just go faster :joke: )ĭidn't manage to get out for the pre dyno check unfortunately due to work commitments. I was a little concerned about the droning in a full face helmet but concluded my Walkinshaw V8 is a bit like that and i happily live with that so figure i can put up with a bit of bass reverb in the helmet if required. I think i read just about every thread relating to exhausts and basic mods and although the Cannon is probably THE most expensive pipe for the 9, those that have one (and others that have heard one fitted) seem to universally agree that it is the best sounding pipe. Yeah mate i'm REALLY looking forward to getting it on the bike. 8)Ĭan't wait to hear the Cannon on the bike (sounded great on the home theatre subs so fingers crossed ) and really can't wait to get out on the road for a good long run once finished. Will hopefully be an accurate comparison of before and after so an interesting few weeks ahead for me. Heading to the dyno guy later this week to get a preliminary dyno run as a benchmark before putting the mods on and getting the flash done. Hoping to have everything here to be fitted in the next week or so. Aside from K and N's im still stock but the ball is rolling and have the Revo Cannon 6" on the way (although has been sitting at the Taiwan international departure lounge for the last 5 days according to the tracking ?) and Len at Ducks mods just received my air intakes over the weekend for modification to give more of a forced cold air intake. Information about the ECU tune is in the first post on the main page.Īfter you have had a look at these two links if you have any questions feel free to PM me here or message directly from the facebook page.Īfter a lot of reading and some very informative info from BCS i have decided to go the same way and instead of getting the PPB fitted am just going to bite the bullet and get a full reflash and dyno tune. We were just having this conversation over the past couple of days.Īlso you can read a bit more about the ECU tune at the following link. If you have not yet read the post in the link below, give it a once over. You really would not need the Auto tuner at all with this ECU tune, and would save yourself a bunch of money. I recently released a brand new ECU tune for the Velocity Pro exhaust that has very smooth transitions from IAP to TPS and on and off throttle. The cooling fan cut in / cut out temperature is lowered so the bike runs a bit cooler.Īnd of course on a fully tuned ECU both the IAP and TPS fuel maps are tuned. The Secondary throttle plates get adjusted to remove the top end limiter and help smooth out some the hard decel. (Or even advanced though out the map depending on the tune you get) The retarded ignition timing is straightened out. ![]() There are certainly advantages to getting the ECU tuned other than just the fueling.
